Upcoming Event: Last Man Standing

Grubnards here with a quick reminder that next week (Saturday, July 20th) we will be running a last man standing lock-in at Millennium Games in Rochester, NY. If you live in the western NY area and have nothing planned for the night, stop in and join us for a fun night of 40k with your friends. What is a lock-in event? Well, it's basically just what it sounds like. We start gaming around 7:00pm and play throughout the night, usually until 3:00am - 4:00am. Food is provided as part of your registration fee as well as a midnight snack of doughnuts. Mmmmm... doughnuts.

Now for the important stuff.

Cost: $25 ($20 if you played in last week's 40k tournament at Millennium)
Time: Registration starts at 6:00pm and the games will start at 7:00pm.
Points: 1250pts
Format: 4 players will be assigned to a table and will battle for supremacy by being the most cunning and skillful player. Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 players of the night. Full rules can be found here.
Location: Millennium Games - 3047 W Henrietta Rd  Rochester, NY 14623
Telephone: (585) 427-2190 Website: http://www.millenniumgames.com/

Extras:
Painting Contest:
we will also be holding a painting contest during the night. Enter in your best painted single model, vehicle, or unit to win a prize.

25 question pub quiz: The quiz will be broken down into 15 "fluff" or background questions and 10 questions based off of the 6th edition rule book. The player who scores the most correct answers will win a prize as well.

Darwin Award: Bad dice rolls happen at the most inappropriate times. So at the lock-in we will be awarding a special prize to the player who accumulates the most Darwin bonus points at the end of the night.

If you have any questions about the event please feel free to leave a comment here or on our forum page for this event.

Here are some links of Hyv3mynd's battle reports from the previous 2 years of the last man standing events. The rules format is a bit different this year than in years past but at least it will give you an idea of how the format is played.
