Da Boyz GT: T - 11 Weeks - Crispy

We’re 11 weeks out from Da Boyz GT and it looks like I’ll be representing the Fantasy side for the blog. This will be my 4^th year at Da Boyz, and 2^nd year playing fantasy. I’m looking to pick up a few more painting points and maybe bump my placement up from last year’s 10^th overall finish. Sadly, my dismal generalship will probably ruin those plans.

What do you guys think about the list? It hasn’t been engraved in stone, but it has all the units that I like to play with, and has most of my well painted models. Besides basic troops, I have most every other unit in the army book that I could swap in (and multiples of the cool ones).

Painting List:
Savage Orc Shaman

Savage Orc Big Boss – I have a few touchups of the models I currently own, and I need to flesh out the banner.

Night Goblins – I recently had a great trade on Dakka for over 400 goblins, but with that many gobbos, my painting initiative has been sapped just by looking at the overflowing box. My only solace is that only 30 of them need to be painted.

Trolls – Along with that gobbo trade, I received a bunch of Skull-Pass Trolls.

Wolf Chariots, Arachnarok, Doom Diver & Rock Lobber – After a near miss with a dear, and my army box flying from my back seat to hit my windshield, all of these models need touchups. It’s like an ad for battlefoam.

So the painting list is not insurmountable. Right now I’m trying to figure out a decent paint scheme for the night goblins. I don’t really want to go with the standard Black Robes. I’ve been browsing Cool Mini or Not for some inspiration, but nothing is popping for me.
