I covered a lot of this week's progress in the last post about airbrushing bases. That was an important milestone for me, officially ending the most time consuming aspects of airbrushing and bases. Now I can finish detailing the army on an individual basis over the next 6 weeks. I enjoy detailing and finishing models the most as I feel that's where they develop their character and persona.
Speaking of characters, my 3 HQ's are nearly finished now.
From here on out I'll just be jumping around finishing units and making their display board segments.
I've also lined up a game for this weekend, next weekend, and with the October tournament the weekend after that, I will have a bunch of games to write up. I'm starting to get pretty comfortable with the way the army plays on the table, I just need a lot more experience against a variety of builds. I hope you follow along and watch the final step of the army's evolution both in appearance and in tactics.
Yep, we are here, looking at your progress with interest:)
ReplyDeletelove the colours and a love the bone dady!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks mighty stylish! Tha baron has a cool pose, but i'm a little skeptical to the flying-board-whatchamacallit colours because of the sunburst theme.. lady and maugan are smashing. I like the fact that you made maugan a bit darker than the others :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work so far - each time I see one of these updates it makes me want to leave work, go home and paint.
ReplyDeleteSince you are so proficient in bases, want to crack out around 50 for me!
Man if I just had another week or two I would do some bases for you.
DeleteThey look awesome! Can't wait to read more of your battle reports and see your finished Dark Eldar army on this display board!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe. Going to battle today. I hope to write it up between tonight and tomorrow.
DeleteThe HQs are great, that Asharah girl really fits into the Dark Kin!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, nice choice of music, I know very few guys who know both Wumpscut and VNV Nation :)
